Whether you already have one of those services or wondering which one to choose, there are a few things you should consider when it comes to Dish network deals and FiOS TV. Those two services are perhaps some of the most popular television services offered in the United States. So, should you go with Dish satellite or choose the famed Verizon fiber optic service? It really depends on the price you are looking to pay and the quality of service you are looking for as well.
Let’s start by taking a look at Dish network. Dish network offers satellite television, just like many other providers. This service provider offers various levels of service, depending on the particular channels you are looking for, for example. Choose between sports channels, family channels, America’s favorites, etc. Packages start as low as $20 per month and will go higher up in price depending on your selection. For common Dish network deals, you can sign up for a year of service and get a few dollars off every month – Dish also offers many promotions through their website.
On the other hand, FiOS TV is another very popular television service provider. The difference is that instead of using satellite, FiOS relies on fiber optic networks. One of the main providers for this service, Verizon, currently owns the largest fiber optic network in the United States. Fiber optic television is synonym with high definition imaging and reliable service – which can be a very big advantage over regular satellite dishes. Fiber optic television can be a bit more costly but fear not, Verizon is well-known for its affordability and the many deals they offer on bundles and long-term service commitments.
So, if you are wondering whether you should go with Dish or FiOS, you should definitely consider a few different things. First of all, Dish seems to be offering a wider variety of packages, which can be an advantage if you know which channels you’d like to have or need smaller packages. However, Verizon’s FiOS bundles are very affordable and can lead to great savings and an overall higher quality of services; fiber optic is the most reliable technology for television, internet and phone services.
I personally was a very big fan of the FiOS services; I liked the high definition image and the fact that never, in two years of service, have I had any issues with bad weather or anything like that. However, I moved and realized that FiOS was not available in my area. I now have a great Dish network deal and am very happy with it; however if I could get my FiOS TV back, I’d certainly switch over in a heartbeat!
